Why are we Mercenaries?

A Mercenary is a soldier.  For us, this means a fighter, a badass, someone strong who fights for the cause of their choosing.  Every day that our athletes enter CrossFit Mercenary, they are fighting for whatever drives them: to be stronger, fitter, healthier.  We are all Mercenaries.

About Us

CrossFit Mercenary: F.A.C., Feature Athletic Club is owned by Jesse and Sarah Cody, and Andre Clarke.

Sarah is a CrossFit Level 2 Coach, USA Weightlifting Level 1, CrossFit Weightlifting Level 1, CrossFit Gymnastics, a certified personal trainer and has over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry. She began her fitness career as a group fitness instructor in 2004. In 2013 she was introduced to CrossFit and has never looked back. In March of 2017, she became the full-time operations manager and head coach at CrossFit Mercenary. Sarah competes at several local competitions a year.

Jesse is a CrossFit Level 1 Coach, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, and CrossFit Gymnastics. He is a Veteran and Captain in The US Army. He started doing CrossFit in 2014. He has competed and placed in local competitions.

Andre is a certified CrossFit Level 1 Coach, CrossFit Kids Coach, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, and is dedicated to the passion and vision of CrossFit Mercenary. He has been a fan and advocate of CrossFit ever since his 1st WOD as a member of CFOM in 2013. He continues to exhibit his love for the sport by showing his enthusiasm in the box, competing locally, and coaching those who request his assistance. Andre has been a huge baseball fan since the age of 8 years old while living in Atlanta, GA. And yes, he's a diehard Braves fan! He was a South Western Athletic Conference (SWAC)closing pitcher for Texas Southern University Tigers in Houston, Texas. His short-term goal is to one day be ranked in the Top 50 as a Regional Masters Athlete.

Why should you join a Crossfit Gym?

The name FEATURE, in Feature Athletic Club is an acronym that embodies what we are all about, and what we strive to help our members achieve:

We have the best Equipment, Coaches and the Training Programs Being an expert coach is about improving fitness and safeguarding the health of one’s clients. Keeping our clients safe includes all the considerations raised in the Developing Virtuosity in Coaching article; i.e., knowing the movement points of performance and being able to identify and correct violations.

However, client safety also includes multiple logistical factors, such as programming, specific needs for special populations, equipment layout and accurate representation of one’s credentials.
